Dr. Tammy's passion is to help you discover yours, spark a reaction that precipitates change. She chooses to educate, serve, and push others to aspire for more...more than their best. In the mist of reaching our goals, we encounter challenging people or situation. Therefore, she also helps you address those people or situations head on. Dr. Tammy recognizes people as a "whole" person. For this reason, she creates a human experience for her clients. In order to get to a place of learning and embrace our greatness, we must explore the self and be open to education and knowledge.
Dr. Tammy, The Catalyst, is an Edupreneur. She is the owner and CEO of T. F. Donaldson Global Enterprises, LLC and Catalyst 4 Change Apparel. She is an Assistant Professor, Life Strategist, Literacy Educator and Consultant, Educational Researcher, Speaker, Author, Podcaster, YouTuber, and Mentor. During the day, Dr. Tammy helps adults improve their reading and writing skills as well their ability to be successful in college and life. At other times, she helps women who are stuck or lack the knowledge to move to explore the self and rethink what they know to get to a place of learning and prepare for what’s next. One way she combines her expertise is through her global, online reading community, Women Aspiring for More. She is "The Catalyst" that inspires women to ASPIRE FOR MORE starting with self-awareness, meaningful connections, self-development, and education; thus ultimately, helping women to discover or uncover how to use their passion and their gift to serve others (their purpose).
Her recent publication, Manifesting More: A Playbook for Planning and Living on Purpose, is the foundation to her brand and movement. The Playbook is filled with life plays for this game called life and strategies to push you toward your passion with purpose. Dr. Tammy even travels the global offering Playbook Workshops to those that dare to aspire for more and move in the direction of more.
As an educator, Dr. Tammy taught 10 years in the secondary classroom teaching reading, English, and English language arts. She earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy. Currently, Dr. Tammy is a full-time, tenured Assistant Professor of Reading and Faculty Coordinator of Developmental Education in Texas where she teaches developmental reading and integrated reading and writing courses. Dr. Tammy also teaches content area reading course for undergraduate and graduate education majors. Dr. Tammy also offer her services as a consultant and professional developer to assist faculty at the secondary and post-secondary levels with improving reading and writing instruction across the curriculum.
Dr. Tammy is also active in several professional and community organizations, such Association of Literacy Educators and Researchers, National Association of Developmental Education, Texas Association of Developmental Education,Texas Association of Black Personnel in Higher Education, and Corpus Christi Black Chamber of Commerce to name a few. Dr. Tammy is also member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Proudly, Dr. Tammy has won several awards during her career thus far, such as “Teacher of the Year,” “DisAbilities Advocate of the Year,” and “The Jerry Johns Promising Researcher” awards.
